How does it work? Once you make contact with us, one of our social workers will invite you for a chat. You can expect the following from us:
- We will get to know each other during the first conversation. You will be able to explain why you contacted us, which questions you have and wishes and goals. First and foremost, the social worker is there to listen to you. You will be able to share your needs and expectations. The social worker will then tell you what she can do to help you.
Follow-up agreements will be made after this initial conversation. The social worker will then help you to address your needs, using a plan of action that you formulate together. In addition, the social worker can also refer you for special assistance, e.g. to a debt support centre, doctor or psychologist. She can also accompany you if you want.
Your needs will always be prioritised. If new needs arise during the process, you can both find the best way to deal with them. If you reach your goal and have no other needs, you can complete the period of support. You can stop receiving social assistance whenever you like. The support offered by Scharlaken Koord is free of charge.
